"G"- He's not dead, he's lost on Trail.

Hashing originated in December 1938 in Kuala Lumpur (current day Malaysia), with a group of British colonial officers and expatriates that began running on Monday evenings in a "Hare and Hounds fashion," to rid themselves of their weekend hangovers. There were eight original members, including the recognized founder Albert Stephen Ignatius "G" Gispert.

Most kennels of hashers operate in similar fashions. In Crescent Shiggy, the “hare” leaves approximately 15 minutes before the “hounds.” The hare marks the trail with various symbols to create decision points, true trail markers and diversions using flour or toilet paper. Beer and River Water are provided in exchange for hash cash. River Water is the Crescent Shiggy beer alternative: a delicious, refreshing, highly alcoholic beverage. Crescent Shiggy trails range between 2-5 miles off pavement, through questionable terrain. We look like something the dog dragged in when we are done. After trail comes circle, where songs are sung, accusations are made and drinks are down-downed. All members are 21 and over; anyone appearing under 35 years of age will be asked for their ID.

Crescent Shiggy came to fruition with the first meeting of the Cock and Balls on 16 May 2012. The first trail was solo hared by Mexican Gum Job on 26 May 2012. The fearless GM led the pack through alligator infested waters and shooting ranges in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Antaphlactic Cock was nearly medevaced due to a reaction to severe fire ants bites. The beer stop was relocated to the beer truck that La SituWANKtion had bottomed out in the soft marsh mud hundreds of yards away from the arranged location. The hare then ran out of flour and only five hounds found the On In at the base of the Western Closure Complex. Circle was held by Bladder Splatter at the start location for a very worn out pack of hounds.

Socials are held once a month to keep our livers in proper check. Because our trails our so down a dirty, our socials are a time to clean up. The first social was held at the Rendon Inn on 08 June 2012. The theme was a formal masquerade. We drank, we danced, we circled and we looked good doing it. By the end of the night, Lick Her Twice, dressed in a black cocktail dress and heels, was holding onto the grass in a stranger’s front lawn for fear she would fall of the planet.
